Samuel Eto’o hopes to end his career at Anzhi Makhachkala

Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto'o says that he has not considered leaving his Russian club since arriving last year in a deal that took many people by surprise.
Eto'o is paid €20 million per year in Dagestan following his move from Inter, and he has spoken about his future at the club.
The four-time African Footballer of the Year said on Friday he intends to stay at the Russian Premier League side for the rest of his career, amid rumours of an eventual move to the USA or central Europe.
“I've never thought about leaving Anzhi since I came here. Not for a single second. Moreover, I intend to play with Anzhi until the end of my career,” Eto’o said, according to Fifa.com.
The former Indomitable Lions skipper, who saw his 15-match national team ban, for inciting a strike action as captain that caused the cancellation of a friendly match between the Indomitable Lions and Algeria, cut to four games last week, has great ambitions for the Dagestan-based outfit.
“I'm happy to play in Anzhi and I'm set to win something serious with my club, maybe in the Champions League if we'll have enough luck. And I hope I'll be able to play five or six more years here before hanging up my boots."
Turning to the subject of racism, Eto'o reveals that he has not been affected by any racist abuse in Russia.
"The problem of racism keeps many people on the alert but I have nothing to complain about," said Eto'o. "I know that Roberto Carlos had certain problems before my arrival in Makhachkala but this problem did not affect me at all."
